Father: Patrick Kelly, 66; Mother: Rosemary Santiago, 63 (currently married to Andre Santiago, 68); Sisters: Larissa Babin, 45 (married to Franklin Babin, 50, with two children: Marie and Samantha, twins, both 14), Charmaine Aucoin, 37 (married to Samuel Aucoin, one child: Claude, 19), Ramona Santiago, 33 (unmarried), Louisa Kelly (deceased at 19, never married)
DESCRIPTION. Law has been described on one occasion as "the sort of guy who'll break your arm for touching him", and that's not at all inaccurate. He's 40 years old, 6'1" and of Irish-Cajun-French descent. He's naturally light-skinned though often tan, and his hair is shaggy and on the lighter side of medium brown, occasionally lighter and usually worn slicked-back. He's extremely fit for his age, slim and muscular, though his body has many relics of a hard life: the insides of his arms are covered in thin, pale scars, some of them in the shapes of odd symbols; there are four long, ragged scars on his torso that start at his left side at the edge of his ribs, run across his stomach and end at his right hip; and he has two bullet-wound scars on his mid-back, one on either side of his spine. Law looks much like what he is: white trash, if arguably attractive white trash. Admittedly, he'd be considerably better looking if he cleaned up more and tried to be nice to people. He has a narrow, pointed face, bright blue eyes and a nice (if rarely seen) smile.

He speaks with a pronounced Cajun accent, which he tries (often unsuccessfully) to hide as a generic Southern drawl. He dresses fairly plainly -- jeans (usually black), t-shirts, work boots or cowboy boots, leather jacket -- with the only notably exception being the black onyx ring he constantly wears. He also has quite the collection of body art: a large backpiece with smoking, bullet-hole riddled playing cards, a snake and a skull with dice in its mouth between his shoulders; a raven on his right arm; panther on his left arm; more dice on the insides of his wrists, covering scars, with "Delia" on his right wrist; ankh on his lower left arm; bones and vines on his feet; flames along the bottom-most edge of the scars across his stomach; and a couple small, badly done prison tats: a cross near the inside of his left elbow, an Egyptian-style eye on his right shoulder.

BRIEF HISTORY. Lawrence Kelly was born October 2nd, 1977, the third child (and only son) of attorney Patrick Kelly and his schoolteacher wife, Rosemary in New Orleans, Louisiana. Patrick Kelly was arrested and imprisoned for extortion, fraud, assault and tax evasion when Lawrence was barely a year old. Rosemary divorced Lawrence's father a year after he was sent to Angola, and married Andre Santiago (who she's still married to) a few years later. She had two children with Andre the years following - Charmaine in 1973 and Ramona in 1974. He was raised primarily by his mother, stepfather, and maternal grandparents while Rosemary and Andre worked to keep their family afloat. It was his grandfather, Jean-Baptiste, that he was closest to -- something of an odd old man and a Voodoo practitioner, which he taught Lawrence about from an early age.

To say Law was a problem child would be an understatement. He rarely slept, he lashed out, and by six he was experiencing what his family could only guess were hallucinations. In 1984, at age seven, he was diagnosed with child-onset schizophrenia. His life from then on was in and out of hospitals and psychiatric wards and, later, juvenile hall when his behavior really started to deteriorate. At fifteen, he was expelled from school after getting into a fight with another student and stabbing them. At sixteen, he ran away with his older sister Louisa and it was nearly a year later that his family caught up with them. He went back to the psych ward; Louisa OD'ed a little over a year later. This put more stress on his family than they could really handle -- while Lawrence's issues brought a mountain of medical bills, Rosemary's gambling problem ate up what little money they had.

By nineteen, he was sick to death of doctors, hospitals and his family, so he severed ties with them and set out on his own. He found out extremely swiftly that there wasn't a whole hell of a lot of opportunity for a highschool dropout with little to no marketable job skills, so he went for the fast cash: muggings, burglaries, car theft and, later, armed robberies. That life had its drawbacks: he did three years for grand theft, and by twenty five had built quite the reputation for himself.

His Awakening was a particularly violent one: at twenty five, he ran afoul of a few vampires while on a heist with a few associates. He barely survived; they didn't. It wasn't until weeks after he was released from the hospital that he remembered the incident. Unfortunately for him, he was arrested for the botched heist and got to spend the first two years of being Awakened in prison. He was back to his old ways as soon as he was out of prison, and tried, unsuccessfully, to go back to the life he had before his Awakening. The bright side of it was that he found out he was not schizophrenic after all. Unfortunately, schizophrenia would probably have been preferable to finding out the voice in his head and his hallucinations were flashbacks from past lives.

Eventually, he joined up with the Hollow Ones, specifically a clique of Voudoun Gangstas, once he realized that the other Traditions weren't the sort of thing he was interested in. His life of crime continued unabated, though he did what he could to make sure the Technocracy or the local vampires were who got hurt by his crimes. It was while he was investigating a local voodoo cult's ties to vampires that he met another mage, a Cultist of Ecstacy by the name of Delia Moreau.

They never did find that particular vampire, but they were more or less inseparable after that. Their relationship was an odd one, admittedly, but it lasted a surprisingly long time -- a decade, in fact. They were both fascinated by the dark, though Delia was drawn to it more than Law. She kept him from sliding into cold apathy and a life of nothing but violence. In turn, he did what he could to keep her grounded in reality.

The years following were about as stable as it gets for him: fighting the Technocracy, fighting vampires, trying to avoid the police. He did another year and a half in prison at thirty six, though Delia was still around when he got out. By then, however, her obsession with darkness had gone overboard. She hid it from him for a few months, unsuccessfully. The confrontation about it left him floating in Lake Pontchartrain  with two bullets in his back, while Delia fled the city.

That was three years ago, and he has yet to really mellow or recover. He's still up to his same old habits, though he's at least pretending to be legit by working part time as a mechanic and on a commercial fishing boat. He hasn't heard from Delia in years, and he's ignored his family's attempts to get into contact with him.
EXAMPLE DIALOG. .under construction.
SPHERES.
Specialty Sphere > Entropy > Chaos > Luck, fate, chance and chaos are the prime components of the study of Entropy. In practical physical terms, Entropy also relates an understanding of the breakdown of systems. Although the mage can't affect Patterns directly until he achieves a great master of the Sphere, the final steps on the Entropic path allow the mage to literally tear apart Creation by encouraging the natural -- or unnatural -- spread of chaos. Matter crumbles. Creatures die. This is the lesson of Entropy: Everything falls apart. Mages who study Entropy often choose the path of either order or chaos. Students of chaos study the dissolution of patterns, the destruction of matter and the random elements that infect happenstance and probability. By itself, Entropy cannot be used to attack Life patterns directly until the fourth level. However, indirect Entropy (bad luck, collapsing buildings and just rotten strings of happenstance) can inflict damage normally.
**** Affect Life > Living Patterns grow, change and adapt. Because of their constant motion, such Patterns are unpredictable and they're difficult to read or affect with Entropy. However, the Adept of Entropy has reached a level where he can finally sort out such massively complex developments and make a good guess at influencing the growth and change of life. The Adept learns how things grow, mature, change, adapt and die, how they decay, how they feed into the cycle of life and death. By changing the natural course of multiple points in the life cycle, the Adept can guide it subtly in new directions, whereas simpler changes would be merely corrected. A mage can use Entropy magic of this level to influence Life Patterns and their successive lineages, bestowing long life, good luck and health or a quick demise and blighted family line. Although Life Pattern is not directly touched the events around it all quietly bend to force it into directions and circumstances of the mage's choice. In more practical terms, the mage can exert direct effects on living beings, causing them to decay or recover from injury or illness rapidly. Good fortune may result in the healing of a disease, while a curse could cause the subject to suffer complications.
Effects > Locate Disorder and Weakness, Ring of Truth, Beginner's Luck, Games of Luck, Like Clockwork, Slay Machine, Blight of Aging, Midwife's Blessing
Secondary Sphere > Correspondence > Scrying > Space, interrelationships and sympathetic links all become clear through the study of Correspondence. By bending Space or bypassing it entirely, a mage can travel rapidly, fly or teleport from place to place. Divining locations allows the mage to see far-away places or direct magic over distances. With a link between a person and an object, Effects may be targeted through connecting rituals. Mystically inclined mages see Correspondence through the theories of contagion and sympathy. Any two things that have touched share a little trace of that connection, which can be called on through Correspondence. Objects or places that are similar in Pattern can be manipulated through that similitude. Any sort of connection opens the door to the manipulation of Patterns. It's always easier to work with the familiar than the strange, after all. In and of itself, Correspondence understanding is highly abstract. A mage skilled in Correspondence can measure space, find connections between objects and move Patterns around. Combined with the other Spheres, Corresponding becomes a formidable tool indeed.
** Sense Space > With scrying magic and projection, the mage can cast his senses to various places beyond her physical form. The mage could touch and feel something physically at a distance or use magic to see a vista at a far-away location. The mage chooses one target and performs an appropriate Effect to scry there. Sensing a distant area forges a sort of connection between the mage and the location -- a warp of Correspondence as the mage brings his Pattern in contact with the place -- that can be detected with simple Correspondence awareness. This connection also estends the mage's perceptions to allow him to use his magic at such places. Conversely, the mage can make wards that bar scrying, or defend the Patterns that she perceives from conjuration or transportation, by strengthening the hold of space and hedging out such distant perceptions.
Effects > Sense Connection, Landscape of the Mind, Whereami?, Apportation, Correspondence Sensing, Ward
Secondary Sphere > Matter > All non-living Patterns that coalesce into form fall into the Sphere of matter. Along with Forces and Life, this Sphere completes the cycle of the Pattern Spheres that influence things of the material world. Given the incredible utility and variety of objects all across the Tellurian, this Sphere is highly versatile and useful, and it's often underestimated due to its perceived "base" nature. Matter Patterns are objects whose flow of Prime has coalesced into a simple, static form. The Quintessence in Forces is still active and energetic, and Life Patterns flow with the universe in a process of give-and-take. Matter, by contrast, is inert. However, manipulating Matter is usually a much simpler affair than manipulating other Patterns. Magicians who study Matter can create objects (with base elements or Prime energy), transform them and change their properties. Matter can also be made to behave in unusual fashions, flouting scientific law and even, in some cases, the bounds of common sense.
** Basic Transformation > The mage may transmute one substance into another, without changing its shape, temperature or basic state (solid, liquid, gas). The object simply takes on a new composition at the mage's whim. Complex creations are more difficult or in some cases impossible; usually, mages are limited to creating or transmuting homogenous substances -- a block of wood into a brick of stone, for instance, but not into an alloy of gold or osmium. Naturally, the sorts of possible transmutations depend heavily on paradigm. A Hermetic mage might turn lead into gold alchemically, a Chorister could duplicate the miracle of turning water into wine but a Technocrat is more likely to convert simple elements like hydrogen to helium. Only simple and inert forms of Matter can be transformed at this level. The mage cannot make radioactive elements. Doing so requires Mastery, as such Patterns shed their essence in the forms of Forces. Matter Patterns also tend to have a rigid shape, and this shape cannot be changed with this base understanding. Of course, if the mage turns a rock into butter, he can sculpt or melt it easily. Rare materials are also hard to create. Metaphysically, such matter is a precious substance, not easily found or made, which reflects in the difficulty of magical duplication. Basic transmutation combines with other Pattern Spheres  to let the mage create solid matter from forces or even living beings. (Of course, anyone can turn a Life Pattern into a Matter Pattern -- just kill it.) With the right understanding of Forces, the mage can impart enough energy to change an item's state while transforming it.
Effects > Analyze Substances, Melt and Reform, Straw into Gold
Secondary Sphere > Spirit > Possession > Both spirit entities and spiritual landscapes form of a spiritual energy that hovers somewhere between Prime and physical Pattern. Ephemera or plasm, this intangible substance makes up the otherworlds, the far Deep Umbra, the Shard Realms and the myriad other places where mages explore magic in its purest states. Such spirits are responsive to impulses and materials, and so the entities of spirit often reflect human drives, belief systems, even gods or concepts -- or is it the other way around? Regardless, most people remain blind to the spirit plane while mages can reach out to interact with the half-felt dreams of the world itself.
* Sense Spirit > Initiates in the ways of Spirit can sense the Mirror Umbra, the reflection of the material world into Spirit energy. The initiate can see anima and ghosts, hear natural spirits and sense places where the Gauntlet between worlds thins or thickens. The mage can determine when an object has a powerful spirit component, like a mystic fetish. The mage's Resonance pulls him most closely to objects, spirits and places or similar Resonance, but the mage can open to any spirit perception with effort. Combined with other Spheres, the mage can sense objects that have connections to the spirit world or that have been somehow translocated there.
Effects > Spirit Sight, Detect Possession

Secondary Sphere > Forces > Primal Elements > Natural forces manifest through energetic Patterns, constructs of Quintessence in motion. Every force has its own unique properties, but they all share the common root of Prime swirling through a Pattern. By manipulating that pattern, the mage can turn forces into other forces, negate various forces, increase or decrease their power or even create and banish energy from nothing. Every magical style has a different means of addressing these forces. Mystical traditions usually consider negative and positive forces -- heat and cold, light and dark, motion and stillness -- to be opposite but independent forces. Regardless, the understanding of Forces lets the mage manipulate all of them equally.
** Control Minor Forces > Energy can be diverted, and the Disciple who understands Forces can influence its direction and intensity. The mage can affect various Patterns easily, altering their direction, changing their qualities and controlling their dispersion. The mage cannot yet create forces from nothingness or change forces into different states, but he can manipulate how the forces interact with the rest of the world.
Effects > Darksight, Quantify Energy, Electrical Chaos, Energy Shield
HOLLOW ROTES.
  • Dark Streets > Entropy/Forces > Creates a cover of darkness around the streets the mage occupies, helping him to avoid others or keep his features ambiguous. This rote tends to be coincidental if the mage merely causes a flicker or dimming of street lamps when he walks past -- lights flicker on and off in the urban landscape all the time.
  • Bum a Dollar from the Universe > Entropy/Matter > On general principle, Hollow Ones hate to play the Technocracy's money game. Yet, the cannot deny that such a trade medium is often their only means for survival. Hence, the creation of this rote. Hollow Ones using it can find money -- rarely large amounts of moola, just enough to get by on. it is an effective and mostly coincidental survival technique. People drop money all the time; the Hollow One mage just happens to be the guy who finds these lost bills and coins. Whether the found greenback is just a fiver to eat on or a twenty to catch a ride with, street survival is something Hollowers can summon at will.
  • Traffic Pulse > Entropy/Forces > For those who choose to listen to the music of the city, there is an underlying pattern, a rhythm, if you will, to all the rumbling and revving of the engines. With mastery of the Traffic Pulse, a mage can affect the time it takes traffic lights to turn, cause traffic to be heavy or sparse, even direct and prevent minor accidents. For a mage who literally lives on the streets, Traffic Pulse can be a useful magical tool.

Alabama 3 - "Woke Up This Morning"
You woke up this morning / Got yourself a gun / Mama always said you'd be the Chosen One / She said: You're one in a million / You've got to burn to shine / But you were born under a bad sign / With a blue moon in your eyes / You woke up this morning / All the love has gone / Your Papa never told you about right and wrong / But you're looking good, baby / I believe you're feeling fine / Shame about it / Born under a bad sign / With a blue moon in your eyes / Woke up this morning / You got a blue moon, you got a blue moon in your eyes / So sad / Goddamn, a goddamn shame about it / Woke up this morning / Got a blue moon, got a blue moon in your eyes / You woke up this morning / The world turned upside down / Thing's ain't been the same / Since the Blues walked into town / But you're one in a million / You've got that shotgun shine / Shame about it / Born under a bad sign / With a blue moon in your eyes / Woke up this morning / You got a blue moon, you got a blue moon in your eyes / So sad / Goddamn, a goddamn shame about it / Woke up this morning / Got a blue moon, got a blue moon in your eyes / Just can't help yourself / When you woke up this morning everything you had was gone / By half past ten your head was going ding-dong / Ringing like a bell from your head down to your toes / Like a voice telling you there was something you should know / Last night you were flying but today you're so low / Ain't it times like these that make you wonder if you'll ever know the meaning of things as they appear to the others / wives, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers / Don't you wish you didn't function / Wish you didn't think beyond the next paycheck and the next little drink / Well you do so make up your mind to go on / 'Cause when you woke up this morning everything you had was gone

The Cult - "Painted on My Heart"
I thought you'd be out of my mind / And I'd finally found a way to / Learn to live without you / I thought it was just a matter of time / Till I had a hundred reasons / Not to think about you / But it's just not so / And after all this time / I still can't let go / I've still got your face / Painted on my heart / Scrawled upon my soul / Etched upon my memory, baby / I've got your kiss / Still burning on my lips / The touch of my fingertips / Is love so deep inside of me / I was trying everything that I can / To get my heart to forget you / But it just can't seem to / I guess it's just no use / In every part of me / Is still a part of you / I've still got your face / Painted on my heart / Scrawled upon my soul / Etched upon my memory, baby / I've got your kiss / Still burning on my lips / The touch of my fingertips / Is love so deep inside of me / I've still got your face / Painted on my heart / Painted on my heart / Painted on my heart / Something in your eyes keeps haunting me / I'm trying to escape you / And I know there ain't no way to / To chase you from my mind / I've still got your face / Painted on my heart / Scrawled upon my soul / Etched upon my memory baby / I've got your kiss / Still burning on my lips / The touch of my fingertips  / Is love so deep inside of me, baby / I've still got your face, I've still got your face painted on my heart

Alice Cooper - "No More Mr. Nice Guy"
I used to be such a sweet, sweet thing / Till they got a hold of me / I opened doors for little old ladies / I helped the blind to see / I got no friends 'cause they read the papers / They can't be seen with me / And I'm gettin' real shot down / And I'm feelin' mean / No more Mister Nice Guy / No more Mister Clean / No more Mister Nice Guy / They say he's sick, he's obscene / I got no friends 'cause they read the papers / They can't be seen with me / And I'm feelin' real shot down / And I'm gettin' mean / No more Mister Nice Guy / No more Mister Clean / No more Mister Nice Guy / They say he's sick, he's obscene / My dog bit me on the leg today / My cat clawed my eye / Mom's been thrown out of the social circles / And dad has to hide / I went to church incognito / When everybody rose the Reverend Smithy / He recognized me and punched me in the nose / He said, no more Mister Nice Guy / No more Mister Clean / No more Mister Nice Guy / He said you're sick, you're obscene

James Labrie - "Alone"
Don't want to lie to you / Don't want to cause you pain / But it's all I ever do / And it's driving me insane / So how much deeper will I sink / So how much further will I dare to go / I've gone so far that I can't think / Can't take it all away / But I want you to know / I never meant to hurt you / What did I turn into / And now I just have this feeling / Sorry's lost its meaning / And I feel alone / It's not the same tonight / And will never be again / I was wrong and you were right / Now I have this mess I'm in / I can't continue on my own / The guilt I carry now is much to bare / For Heaven's sake answer your phone / Can't take the past away / But honestly I swear / I never meant to hurt you / What did I turn into / And now I just have this feeling / Sorry's lost its meaning / And I feel alone

Fleetwood Mac - "The Chain"
Listen to the wind blow / Watch the sun rise / Run in the shadows / Damn your love, damn your lies / And if you don't love me now / You will never love me again / I can still hear you saying / You would never break the chain / Listen to the wind blow / Down comes the night / Run in the shadows / Damn your love, damn your lies / Break the silence / Damn the dark, damn the light / And if you don't love me now / You will never love me again / I can still hear you saying / You would never break the chain

Motorhead - "Ace of Spades"
If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man / You win some, lose some / It's all the same to me / The pleasure is to play / It makes no difference what you say / I don't share your greed / The only card I need is / The Ace Of Spades / The Ace Of Spades / Playing for the high one / Dancing with the devil / Going with the flow / It's all a game to me / Seven or Eleven / Snake eyes watching you / Double up or quit, double stake or split / The Ace of Spades / The Ace Of Spades / You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools / But that's the way I like it baby / I don't wanna live for ever / And don't forget the joker! / Pushing up the ante / I know you've got to see me / Read 'em and weep / The dead man's hand again / I see it in your eyes / Take one look and die / The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be / The Ace Of Spades

Brave Saint Saturn - "Heart Still Beats"

The man finally comes to the door, I've seen him several times  / He always looks pissed off and his sunglasses stay on / I think he got his biceps and tattoos while in prison / And it doesn't seem to bother him when he says "go to hell"  / And his heart still beats inside / The blood runs in his veins / A remnant of life remains / His heart still beats inside / The thought it comes to my mind, to somehow intervene / But it could bring me trouble, and what can I do anyway? / It's hard to be effective when it happens so often / To see a life unraveling, through drawn Venetian blinds / I'm sickened by compassion, I'm stifled by my limitations / Anesthetic apathy, come take the pain away / And my heart still beats inside / The blood runs in my veins / A remnant of life remains / And my heart still beats inside / Oh God, we need you here / We're sinking fast and we don't care  / The evidence is all around me, on both sides of my door / Our hearts beat

Metallica - "Carpe Diem Baby"
Hit dirt, shake tree / Split sky, part sea / Strip smile, lose cool / Bleed the day and break the rule / Live to win, dare to fail / Eat the dirt and bite the nail / Then make me miss you / Then make me miss you / So wash your vice away with dirt / It don't feel good until it hurts / So take this world and shake it / Come squeeze and suck the day / Come carpe diem baby / Draw lead, piss wine / Sink teeth, all mine / Stoke fire, break neck / Suffer through this, cheat on death / Hug the curve, lose the time / Tear the map and shoot the sign / Then make me miss you / Come on, yeah / Then make me miss you / So wash your vice away with dirt / It don't feel good until it hurts / So take this world and shake it / Come squeeze and suck the day / Come carpe diem baby / Live to win, dare to fail / Eat dirt, bite the nail / Strip smile, lose cool / Bleed the day and break the rule / Hug the curve, noose the time / Tear the map and shoot the sign / Then make me miss you / Come on, come on / Then make me miss you / So wash your vice away with dirt / It don't feel good until it hurts / So take this world and shake it / Come squeeze and suck the day / Come make me miss you / Come carpe diem baby

I am a lone wolf / I always was and will be / I feel fine / I am resigned to this / I am a lone wolf / I am a lone wolf / Got my cares / Wrapped-up all nice and neat / In my suitcase / I'll take it down the street / To a place with plenty of space for me / I am a lone wolf / I am a lone wolf / It blows my mind / That people wanna try to get / Inside my tired head / I am a lone wolf / I am a lone wolf / I am a lone wolf / Nobody needs to get too close to me / You'll only see this truth / I am a lone wolf

Lost Prophets - "Can't Catch Tomorrow (Good Shoes Won't Save You This Time)"
I'm sure I've seen this look before / Done a thousand times and a million more / How many lies did he tell this time? / How many times did he cross the line? / It won't help me but I have to ask / Is there something real that's behind the mask? / Something true we don't know about? / A little faith in amongst the doubt / And maybe someday you will grow / Maybe someday you will know / Maybe someday you will end these tears and go / A little piece of me grows old / I keep on walking down this road / I've seen a million people change / But I will stay the same / And I know you, know you, know you always steal and borrow / And I know you, know you, know you never catch / You're never gonna catch tomorrow / I'm sure I've played this scene before / I've seen this room and I've walked this floor / I'm sure I used to hold your hand / Did I hurt you? / All this attitude with no history / All this anger when you're attacking me / Got a lot to learn and you need to know / That your time is up kid, let it go / Maybe someday you will grow / Maybe someday you will know / Maybe someday you will end these tears and go / A little piece of me grows old / I keep on walking down this road / I've seen a million people change / But I will stay the same / And I know you, know you, know you always steal and borrow / And I know you, know you, know you / Never catch, you're never gonna catch tomorrow

Fleetwood Mac - "I'm So Afraid"

I been alone / All the years / So many ways to count the tears / I never change / I never will / I'm so afraid the way I feel / Days when the rain and the sun are gone / Black as night / Agony's torn at my heart too long / So afraid / Slip and I fall and I die / I been alone / Always down / No one cared to stay around / I never change / I never will / I'm so afraid the way I feel / Days when the rain and the sun are gone / Black as night / Agony's torn at my heart too long / So afraid / Slip and I fall and I die

Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Torture Me"
Because I'm happy to be sad / I want it all I want it bad / Oh-oh / It's what I know / A vintage year for pop I hear / The middle of the end is near / Let's go / It's what I know / Torture me and torture me / Forcin' me so torture me, please / Torture me with sorcery / Forcin' me so torture me, please / All the leaves are turning brown / The wind is pushing me around / Let's go / It's what I know / Torture me and torture me / It's forcin' me so torture me, please / Torture me with sorcery / Forcin' me so torture me, please

Styx - "Renegade"
Oh Mama, I'm in fear for my life from the long arm of the law / Law man has put an end to my running and I'm so far from my home / The jig is up, the news is out / They finally found me / The renegade who had it made / Retrieved for a bounty / Never more to go astray / This'll be the end today / Of the wanted man / Oh Mama, I've been years on the lam and had a high price on my head / Lawman said 'Get him dead or alive' and it's for sure he'll see me dead / Dear Mama I can hear you cryin', you're so scared and all alone / Hangman is comin' down from the gallows and I don't have very long / The jig is up, the news is out / They finally found me / The renegade who had it made / Retrieved for a bounty / Never more to go astray / The judge'll have revenge today / On the wanted man / Oh Mama, I'm in fear for my life from the long arm of the law / Law man has put an end to my running and I'm so far from my home / The jig is up, the news is out / They finally found me / The renegade who had it made / Retrieved for a bounty / Never more to go astray / This'll be the end today / Of the wanted man

Goo Goo Dolls - "Broadway"
Broadway is dark tonight / A little bit weaker than you used to be / Broadway is dark tonight / See the young man sitting / In the old man’s bar / Waiting for his turn to die / The cowboy kills the rock star / And Friday night’s gone too far / The dim light hides the years / On all the faded girls / Forgotten but not gone / You drink it off your mind / You talk about the world / Like it’s someplace that you’ve been / You see you’d love to run home / But you know you ain’t got one / Cause you’re livin’ in a world / That you’re best forgotten around here / Broadway is dark tonight / A little bit weaker than you used to be / Broadway is dark tonight / See the young man sitting / In the old man’s bar / Waiting for his turn to die / You choke down all your anger / Forget your only son / You pray to statues when you sober up for fun / Your anger don’t impress me / The world slapped in your face / It always rains like hell on the losers day parade / You see you’d love to run home / But you know you ain’t got one / ’Cause you’re livin’ in a world that you’re best forgotten / And when you’re thinkin’ of a joke / And nobody’s gonna listen / To the one small point  / I know they been missin’ round here / Broadway is dark tonight / A little bit weaker than you used to be / Broadway is dark tonight / See the young man sitting  / In the old man’s bar / Waiting for his turn to die

Bob Dylan - "Everything is Broken"

Broken lines, broken strings / Broken threads, broken springs / Broken idols, broken heads / People sleeping in broken beds / Ain't no use jiving / Ain't no use joking / Everything is broken / Broken bottles, broken plates / Broken switches, broken gates / Broken dishes, broken parts / Streets are filled with broken hearts / Broken words never meant to be spoken / Everything is broken / Seem like every time you stop and turn around / Something else just hit the ground / Broken cutters, broken saws / Broken buckles, broken laws / Broken bodies, broken bones / Broken voices on broken phones / Take a deep breath, feel like you're chokin' / Everything is broken / Every time you leave and go off someplace / Things fall to pieces in my face / Broken hands on broken ploughs / Broken treaties, broken vows / Broken pipes, broken tools / People bending broken rules / Hound dog howling, bull frog croaking / Everything is broken.

The Police - "King of Pain"

There's a little black spot on the sun today / It's the same old thing as yesterday / There's a black hat caught in a high tree top / There's a flag pole rag and the wind won't stop / I have stood here before inside the pouring rain / With the world turning circles running 'round my brain / I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign / But it's my destiny to be the king of pain / There's a little black spot on the sun today / That's my soul up there / It's the same old thing as yesterday / That's my soul up there / There's a black hat caught in a high tree top / That's my soul up there / There's a flag pole rag and the wind won't stop / That's my soul up there / I have stood here before inside the pouring rain / With the world turning circles running 'round my brain / I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign / But it's my destiny to be the king of pain / There's a fossil that's trapped in a high cliff wall / That's my soul up there / There's a dead salmon frozen in a waterfall / That's my soul up there / There's a blue whale beached by a springtide's ebb / That's my soul up there / There's a butterfly trapped in a spider's web / That's my soul up there / I have stood here before inside the pouring rain / With the world turning circles running 'round my brain / I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign / But it's my destiny to be the king of pain / There's a king on a throne with his eyes torn out / There's a blind man looking for a shadow of doubt / There's a rich man sleeping on a golden bed / There's a skeleton choking on a crust of bread / King of pain / There's a red fox thorn by a huntsman's pack / That's my soul up there / There's a black winged gull with a broken back / That's my soul up there / There's a little black spot on the sun today / It's the same old thing as yesterday / I have stood here before inside the pouring rain / With the world turning circles running 'round my brain / I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign / But it's my destiny to be the king of pain

Supertramp - "Crime of the Century"
Now they're planning the crime of the century / Well what will it be? / Read all about their schemes and adventuring / It's well worth a fee / So roll up and see / And they rape the universe / How they've gone from bad to worse / Who are these men of lust, greed, and glory? / Rip off the masks and let's see / But that's no right - oh no, what's the story? / There's you and there's me / That can't be right

The Rolling Stones - "Paint it Black"
I see a red door and I want it painted black / No colors anymore, I want them to turn black / I see the girls go by dressed in their summer clothes / I have to turn my head until my darkness goes / I see a line of cars and they're all painted black / With flowers and my love both never to come back / I see people turn their heads and quickly look away / Like a new born baby it just happens every day / I look inside myself and see my heart is black / I see my red door and must have it painted black / Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts / It's not easy facin' up when your whole world is black / No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue / I could not foresee this thing happening to you / If I look hard enough into the settin' sun / My love will laugh with me before the mornin' comes / I see a red door and I want it painted black / No colors anymore I want them to turn black / I see the girls go by dressed in their summer clothes / I have to turn my head until my darkness goes

Splashdown - "Karma Slave"
Today I'll be spinning on a Wheel / I'm a slave to a Wheel / And there isn't any stopping / What mistake could I have made? / I'm a slave serving time for a life that I've forgotten / I'm a slave of Karma / Spin the Wheel and I'm a king reborn / I'm a slave to Karma / I'm coming back, yeah, I'll be coming back / But for the last time / Today I'm a king on the Wheel / Still a slave to the Wheel / But this time around I'm smiling / Keep me cautious, keep me safe, just in case there's a chance / I can leave this Wheel behind me / Stand in the Middle and you won't get dizzy / Stand in the Middle and you won't fall down / If you stand in the Middle you can keep your balance / Stand in the Middle while the Wheel spins round and round / I'm a slave of Karma / Spin the Wheel and I'm a king reborn / I'm a slave to Karma / I'm coming back, yeah, I'll be coming back / But for the last time / I'm a slave of Karma / Spin the Wheel and I'm a king reborn / I'm a slave to Karma / I'm coming back, yeah, I'll be coming back / But for the last time / How do all the Wheels inside the Wheels revolving / Go on, and on, and on, and on, and on / Spinning on the Wheel the souls of One evolving / Live on, live on, live on, live on, live on / Anyone who claims that they know the answer's coming back again / Who's at the center of the Wheel / The inventor of the Wheel or another spinning servant / I'm the Master of my Wheel of my very own Wheel / Universal and recurrent / I'm a slave of Karma / Spin the Wheel and I'm a King reborn / I'm a slave to Karma / I'm coming back, yeah, I'll be coming back / But for the last time.

Bob Dylan - "Delia"
Delia was a gambling girl, gambled all around / Delia was a gambling girl, she laid her money down / All the friends I ever had are gone / Delia's dear ol' mother took a trip out West / When she returned, little Delia gone to rest / All the friends I ever had are gone / Delia's daddy weeped, Delia's momma moaned / Wouldn't have been so bad if the poor girl died at home / All the friends I ever had are gone / Curtis' looking high, Curtis' looking low / He shot poor Delia down with a cruel forty-four / All the friends I ever had are gone / High up on the housetops, high as I can see / Looking for them rounders, looking out for me / All the friends I ever had are gone / Men in Atlanta, tryin' to pass for white / Delia's in the graveyard, boys, six feet out of sight / All the friends I ever had are gone / Judge says to Curtis, "What's this noise about?" / "All about them rounders, Judge, tryin' to cut me out." / All the friends I ever had are gone / Curtis said to the judge, "What might be my fine?" / Judge says, "Poor boy, you got ninety-nine." / All the friends I ever had are gone / Curtis' in the jail house, drinking from an old tin cup / Delia's in the graveyard, she ain't gettin' up / All the friends I ever had are gone / Delia, oh Delia, how can it be? / You loved all them rounders, never did love me / All the friends I ever had are gone / Delia, oh Delia, how can it be? / You wanted all them rounders, never had time for me / All the friends I ever had are gone.

Modest Mouse - "Dramamine"
Travelling swallowing Dramamine / Feeling spaced breathing out listerine / I'd said what I'd said that I'd tell ya / And that you'd killed the better part of me / If you could just milk it for everything / I've said what I'd said and you know what I mean / But I still can't focus on anything / We kiss on the mouth but still cough down our sleeves / Travelling swallowing dramamine / Look at your face like you're killed in a dream / And you think you've figured out everything / I think I know my geography pretty damn well / You say what you need so you'll get more / If you could just milk it for everything / I've said what I said and you know what I mean / But I still can't focus on anything

Fuel - "Last Time"
I'm not the first you sucked down / I drank your pleasure slow / Then stumbled out from your veil / Still I've come for you tonight / Choke my faith and stab my pride / And tell myself that / This is the last time / This is the last time / This is the last time now / I'll bleed for you / Preservation or predation / As I'm reeling I don't know / Crumbled I spill out of your hand / I want to fall / And you see it all / And you'll just laugh when I say / This is the last time / This is the last time / This is the last time now / I'll bleed for you / And everything I feel I know you know / And everything that heals I know you know / And everything that steals I know you know / And everything that kills you now / And tell myself that / This is the last time / This is the last time / This is the last time now / I'll bleed for you

Peter Gabriel - "I Have the Touch"

The time I like is the rush hour, 'cause I like the rush / The pushing of the people - I like it all so much / Such a mass of motion - do not know where it goes / I move with the movement and I have the touch / I'm waiting for ignition, I'm looking for a spark / Any chance collision and I light up in the dark / There you stand before me, all that fur and all that hair / Oh, do I dare / I have the touch

Fuel - "Shimmer"

She calls me from the cold / Just when I was low, feeling short of stable / And all that she intends / And all she keeps inside, isn't on the label / She says she's ashamed / And can she take me for awhile / And can I be a friend, we'll forget the past / But maybe I'm not able / And I break at the bend / We're here and now, but will we ever be again / 'Cause I have found / All that shimmers in this world is sure to fade / Away again / She dreams a champagne dream / Strawberry surprise, pink linen and white paper / Lavender and cream / Fields of butterflies, reality escapes her / She says that love is for fools who fall behind / And I'm somewhere in between / I never really know a killer from a savior / 'Til I break at the bend / We're here and now but will we ever be again / 'Cause I have found all that shimmers in this world is sure to fade away again / It's too far away for me to hold / It's too far away / Guess I'll let it go

Sting - "Moon Over Bourbon Street"
There's a moon over Bourbon Street tonight / I see faces as they pass beneath the pale lamplight / I've no choice but to follow that call / The bright lights, the people, and the moon and all / I pray everyday to be strong / For I know what I do must be wrong / Oh you'll never see my shade or hear the sound of my feet / While there's a moon over Bourbon Street / It was many years ago that I became what I am / I was trapped in this life like an innocent lamb / Now I can never show my face at noon / And you'll only see me walking by the light of the moon / The brim of my hat hides the eye of a beast / I've the face of a sinner but the hands of a priest / Oh you'll never see my shade or hear the sound of my feet / While there's a moon over Bourbon Street

Morphine - "Take Me With You"

You want to begin again /  Pretend you're innocent / If you believe, you can convince yourself / I'm sure you can convince yourself / This town never gave you much back / Just rumors and a whispering attack / This town is not your friend / Never mind the loose ends / Take me with you when you go now / Don't leave me alone / I can't live without you / Take me with you, take me with you when you go / And I don't care about the things I leave at home / Cause things can't really keep you company when you're alone now / You want to burn your bridges? / I'll help you start the fire / You want to disappear? / I got the manual right here / You say you want my help? / I can't help myself / You want my help? / I can't help myself / Take me with you when you go now / Don't leave me alone / I can't live without you / Take me with you, take me with you when you go / Take me with you when you go now. (take me with you take me with you)Don't leave me alone / I can't live without you / Take me with you, take me with you when you go / You want to begin again / Pretend you're innocent / If you believe / You can convince yourself, I'm sure / You can convince yourself / Take me with you when you go now / Don't leave me alone / I can't live without you / Take me with you, take me with you when you go
